The Lambda Quarterly | Q3 2026
The third edition of The Lambda Quarterly presents Bioscience Equity Partners’ latest research on global life sciences capital markets, examining biotechnology financing, M&A, cross-border licensing, geopolitical developments and the increasingly selective investment environment.
Bioscience Equity Partners has published the third edition of The Lambda Quarterly, its quarterly research publication examining developments across global life sciences capital markets.
The Q3 2026 edition builds on the findings of the first two reports, reassessing BEP’s earlier research theses against developments during the third quarter. The publication uses a data cut-off of 30 September 2026 and includes an editorial note from Dr George Syrmalis, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bioscience Equity Partners.
The report examines a quarter characterised by divergence between large-capitalisation biotechnology and smaller clinical-stage companies, continued biotechnology IPO activity, more selective venture financing and a moderation in M&A activity following a record second quarter. It also explores Greater China’s growing role in global pharmaceutical licensing and the impact of geopolitical developments on investment conditions.
The third edition develops three principal themes for Q4 2026 and beyond: the widening valuation gap between large and small biotechnology companies, the relationship between major technology listings and life sciences capital allocation, and Hong Kong’s increasingly selective biotechnology listing environment.
Additional sections cover mergers and acquisitions, IPO and venture financing, immunology and inflammation, genetic medicines, AI-enabled drug discovery, regulatory developments, Korea’s KOSDAQ biotechnology market, Gulf sovereign capital and BEP’s forward view for Q4 2026 and Q1 2027.
