The Lambda Quarterly | Q2 2026
The second edition of The Lambda Quarterly presents Bioscience Equity Partners’ latest research on global life sciences capital markets, examining M&A, biotechnology financing, cross border licensing, sovereign capital and the outlook for the remainder of 2026.
Bioscience Equity Partners has published the second edition of The Lambda Quarterly, its quarterly research publication examining developments across global life sciences capital markets.
The Q2 2026 edition builds on the framework established in the inaugural report, assessing how the market evolved during the second quarter and testing BEP’s earlier research theses against a further quarter of market activity. The publication has a data cut off of 7 September 2026 and is prepared by the Bioscience Equity Partners Analyst Team.
The report examines a quarter characterised by continued strength in biopharma dealmaking, significant M&A activity, an expanding biotechnology IPO market and further development in cross border licensing from Greater China. It also considers the continuing role of sovereign capital in global life sciences investment.
The second edition develops three principal themes for Q3 2026 and beyond: the relationship between monetary conditions and life sciences capital formation, the growing role of sovereign capital in specialist life sciences financing, and the consolidation of Chinese outbound licensing into fewer, larger and more selective transactions.
Additional sections cover mergers and acquisitions, IPO and venture financing, Hong Kong biotechnology listings, radiopharmaceuticals and theranostics, clinical and regulatory developments, Gulf sovereign capital and BEP’s forward view for Q3 2026.
